- The cat brings news: short notes from the VocaPurr team now appear in the cat’s speech bubble – like a notification, but inside the app and in your language. Several arrive one after another, each only once; tapping dismisses them. Whatever the cat is explaining to you at the moment always comes first.
- Guests know what an account brings: the hint in the profile, the slide-in and the reminder now say what only works with an account: adding friends, sharing pools and playing buzzer duels online. The slide-in already appears on the first day and stays a little longer.

- Usage measurement now mentions OpenAI: if you installed the app through an ad in ChatGPT and usage measurement is allowed, it reports the installation and your first finished learning round once to OpenAI – without advertising ID, without Android ID. The consent dialog and the settings now say so.

- “Online” for friends is right again: since 0.20.0 the app was always treated as being in the background, “Last seen” was never set and friends never saw you online.
- Clean and Power Aura cats with the right paws: without a buzzer they showed extra or missing paws in some poses.

- Changing your username works like at sign-up: in the profile the new name adapts to the allowed form as you type (“João Silva” becomes “joao.silva”), the rule is shown below the field, and you can only save a valid name. - No more advertising ID permissions: the usage measurement had quietly brought along permissions for the advertising ID; the app no longer requests them.

- VokaKitty is now VocaPurr: the app has a new name, in the app, on this website and on the web. Your account, words, progress, streak, coins and friends stay exactly as they are. Your practice partner in the challenge is now called VocaPurr too.
- Shared start in the challenge: before round 1 both players count down 3-2-1 together (“Get ready!”), and the buzzer is locked until the start. Nobody gets a head start any more because their phone shows the round earlier.
- New duels appear right away: an invitation or acceptance shows up on the challenge screen without reloading. When a new duel is due, the duel box opens by itself.
- Usage measurement: the app counts once whether you finished your first learning round (Google Analytics for Firebase, without advertising ID and without personalised ads). In the EU, the UK and Switzerland it asks first; you can switch it off at any time under Settings > Usage measurement.

- Theme cats with the right number of legs: in some animations the cats of seven themes showed five or six limbs or loose paws. Now every pose has exactly four, with and without buzzer; the Neon Nights cat has been completely redrawn.
- “Last seen” is accurate: if the app is only running in the background, your friends no longer see you as online.

- Get started without signing up: on first launch a tap on “Let’s go” is enough. The app creates a guest account with no email, password or date of birth, and you start learning right away with the demo pool. If you already have an account, “I already have an account” takes you to sign-in. Guests can learn and create their own pools; friends, challenge and sharing come with a full account.
- Secure your account: turn a guest account into a full account at any time, by email or Google. Words, progress, streak and coins are kept, because it is the same account. If you sign in to an existing account as a guest, the app first shows what would be lost from the guest account and asks you to confirm.
- Reminder to secure it: at the top of your profile you will see “Secure your progress”. From the second day on, it slides in from the top once a day and disappears after a few seconds. A notification comes at most every three days, and only if you have allowed notifications. You can delete the guest account in the settings.
- A guest account survives a reinstall: if you reinstall the app on the same phone, or move to a new phone with Google backup, your guest account is back.
- The cat introduces herself: on your first visit the cat explains each screen in short, cheeky speech bubbles that you tap away one after another. Under Settings > Cat you can bring the introduction back (“Cat, start over!”).

- Choosing a username is easier: after signing in with Google the username is pre-filled. As you type, it is automatically converted into the allowed form: lowercase, no accents, spaces become dots.

- The cat knocks on the window: if you don’t touch the app for 45 seconds, she leans forward and knocks on the glass from the inside – with ripples, a knocking sound and a “Hello? Anybody there?”. Every cat knocks with her own poses in her own style.
- A dedicated buzzer cat for the “Arcade” theme: a cheeky quiz-show contestant with round glasses and a headset microphone.

With a small pool of due words, or with repetitions, the threshold of 10 was never reached even though the streak day had long been credited. - Streak achievements: your profile now shows how often you have reached a 7-day, 30-day or 365-day streak. These counters are kept permanently, even if the current streak breaks. A “protection cookie” to cushion a missed day is already allowed for in the layout but not yet active.
